Research Projects of the Republican Research and Practice Mental Health Center

For your convenience, we have grouped the results of research activities in accordance with the name of the division which carried out the research activities.

The key research activity of our research department is the implementation of research and practice projects.

Projects in progress:

  • “To study bio-psycho-social mechanisms of the development of suicidal behavior and to develop the methods for the provision of specialized medical and psychological aid to the persons with a high risk of suicide.”
  • “To detect the predictors for the development of neurodegenerative process in case of Alzheimer’s disease with a view to improving the approach for differential diagnostics and treatment.”
  • “To study the autoimmune and neurotrophic factors in case of childhood autism.”
  • “To develop and implement a set of computer programs for psychophysiological examination of the staff of Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant on the basis of standard indices of psychophysiological functions.”
  • “To develop and implement a logistic model of medical and social rehabilitation of the patients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health.”
  • “To develop and implement the method of comprehensive medical rehabilitation of the patients with the alcohol dependence syndrome using work therapy at a medical labour center.”
  • “To develop and implement the method of medical prevention of alcohol consumption among teenagers using a regular family therapy.”
  • “To develop and implement the method for treatment of the alcohol withdrawal syndrome using hyperbaric oxygen therapy.”
  • “To develop and implement the method for treatment of pharmacoresistant epilepsy with the help of autologous mesenchymal stem cells. The method is based on the determination of new neuroimaging, immunological and neurophysiological predictors (biomarkers) of the functional state of the brain.”
  • “To develop and implement the method for medical rehabilitation of the patients sentenced to compulsory inpatient treatment.”
  • “To develop a comprehensive medical prevention and rehabilitation program for young persons, who consume psychoactive substances.”
  • “To study the efficacy and safety of a combined use of electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation in treatment of the patients with resistant depressive disorders.”

  • “To study the characteristics of attention and memory functions in adults depending on their age and to adjust the pathopsychological methods for their study with a view to improving the quality of diagnostics of cognitive disorders.”
