The prevention of occupational injuries and morbidity

Who to ensure safety, health and working efficiency at work and to prevent occupational injuries and morbidity:

  • to use sanitary clothes;
  • to properly use personal protective equipment;
  • to follow the work-rest schedule;
  • to comply with the equipment safety rules;
  • to undergo trainings on safe working methods, all instructions, testing of knowledge of labour protection requirements;
  • to comply with the internal rules of conduct and not to consume alcohol drinks and drugs at work;
  • to comply with the health standards and regulations, which ensure the process safety;
  • to undergo pre-employment and periodic health checkups (general contraindications and individual sensitivity are to be considered);
  • to efficiently use collective and personal protective means;
  • to undergo basic medical trainings, trainings on health protection at work;
  • to promote a healthy lifestyle, including the distribution of information on the effect of negative factors on health;
  • to cut down on alcohol and tobacco;
  • to do sports.

A proper use of hazardous substances, equipment and tools, biological substances and a compliance with labour protection requirements is the key to occupational safety.
