Occupational Health and Safety Policy

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY:

  1. to ensure that workplace conditions comply with the safety standards of the Republic of Belarus.
  2. to work on elimination of occupational injuries and morbidity.
  3. to implement new methods for the provision of timely and effective medical care, to purchase advanced medical equipment.

THE KEY OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY GOALS:

  1. to develop the workplace hazard identification and assessment system, to ensure a permanent monitoring of occupational risks, taking of preventive and corrective measures.
  2. to regularly analyze the occupational safety goals and objectives, to improve the occupational health and safety measures with a view to enhancing the efficacy of the safety management system.
  3. to comply with the applicable laws on occupational safety, occupational hygiene, fire and industrial safety.
  4. to involve the staff of the Center into occupational health and safety activities.

THE WAYS TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS:

  1. to ensure a proper identification of workplace hazards, assessment of risks and relevant monitoring in accordance with STB 18001-2009.
  2. to purchase and use new modern medical equipment and regular maintenance and repair of medical equipment.
  3. to ensure financial and technical support of occupational health and safety activities, to comply with the requirements, orders and instructions of the regulatory and controlling authorities.
  4. to cooperate with the trade union and other organizations on the implementation of the state occupational health and safety policy, to assist in the public control over the observance of the employees’ rights and interests.
  5. to improve the training, postgraduate and advanced training on occupational health and safety.

The administration of the Republican Research and Practice Mental Health Center shall provide the means and resources required to implement the above-described policy, inform the staff thereon and supervise its compliance by all employees.
