Hyperbaric oxygen therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a non-drug method for the treatment and prevention of various diseases. It is a medical use of oxygen at pressure higher than atmospheric pressure. The hyperbaric oxygen therapy helps to solve the problem of oxygen deficiency in the human body (cell and tissues). HBOT enhances adaptive capabilities, relief fatigue, refresh and tone up the body and stabilize psycho-emotional state.

Indications and contraindications to HBOT. A physician decides on the prescription of HBOT based on the results of a patient’s examination and study of a patient’s medal history.

HBOT is used in psychiatry and addiction treatment in case of:

  • traumatic, toxic, degenerative and atrophic damages of the brain;
  • asthenia, nervous breakdown;
  • withdrawal syndrome, drug addiction.
